From November 12 to 15, 2025, the Vietnam Food Processing & Packaging Exhibition (VIETNAM FOODEXPO) was held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Weichuang, a national high-tech enterprise from China, brought its core clean-label products—including potassium cinnamate, buffered vinegar powder, and cultured sugar—to the show. With their stable performance and regulatory advantages, these products gained wide recognition from Southeast Asian buyers.

This year’s exhibition attracted over 500 companies from 30 countries and more than 35,000 professional visitors. As Southeast Asian consumers become increasingly health-conscious, clean labels and natural ingredients have become the central focus of the show—perfectly aligned with Weichuang’s product positioning.

Among the showcased products, those tailored to local needs drew particular attention. Potassium cinnamate, supported by authoritative research, has a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) as low as 1–4 mg/mL against Staphylococcus aureus. It remains stably antimicrobial within pH 2–7, making it suitable for producing regional categories such as meat products and pickled vegetables, especially under Vietnam’s hot and humid climate.
Buffered vinegar powder, produced via deep liquid fermentation, integrates both preservation and flavoring functions. It can extend the shelf life of bread to 8 days at 37°C, meeting the bakery industry’s demand for reduced food additives.
Cultured sugar, rich in amino acids and offering both preservation and flavor-enhancing effects, provides a clean-label solution for seasoning and prepared food manufacturers seeking to simplify ingredient lists.

As a participating drafter of the industry standard “General Requirements for Clean-Label Meat Products”, Weichuang operates under the FSSC 22000 quality system and fully meets the entry requirements of Southeast Asian markets. Through process demonstrations, analytical data, and application case explanations, the company’s technical team clearly showcased the advantages of each product, attracting intensive inquiries from companies in Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries.
This exhibition represents an important step in Weichuang’s expansion into the Southeast Asian market. With the region’s growing demand for clean-label food ingredients, the strong alignment between Weichuang’s products and market needs lays a solid foundation for deeper local engagement and highlights the technological strength of China’s natural food ingredient industry.
